Email Sequences and Lead Outreach

Automate multi-step email sequences for lead nurturing and outreach campaigns.

Email Sequences and Lead Outreach

Email sequences automate your follow-up process. Instead of manually remembering to send that second, third, or fourth email, Deskmantle sends them on a schedule — and stops automatically when the prospect replies.

Creating a Sequence

  1. Go to Sales > Sequences and click + New Sequence.
  2. Name your sequence (e.g., "Cold Outreach — SaaS Founders").
  3. Add steps. Each step is an email with a delay:
    • Step 1 (Day 0) — Initial outreach email.
    • Step 2 (Day 3) — Follow-up if no reply.
    • Step 3 (Day 7) — Value-add email (share a resource, case study, or insight).
    • Step 4 (Day 14) — Break-up email ("Is this still relevant?").
  4. Write each email using merge fields. Desk can generate the emails for you — just describe the sequence goal.
  5. Set send times — emails are sent during business hours in the recipient's time zone.
  6. Click Activate.

Adding Contacts to a Sequence

  • Manual — select contacts from your CRM and click "Add to Sequence."
  • Automatic — set up a trigger: when a lead reaches a certain stage, form submission, or tag, they are auto-enrolled.
  • CSV upload — upload a list of prospects to enroll in bulk.

Sequence Intelligence

Deskmantle tracks detailed analytics for each sequence:

  • Open rate per step
  • Reply rate per step
  • Click rate (if emails contain links)
  • Bounce and unsubscribe rates
  • Best-performing subject lines
Pro tip: Use A/B testing on step 1 to test different subject lines. Deskmantle automatically sends the winning variant to the remaining contacts after reaching statistical significance.

Safety Features

Deskmantle includes safeguards to protect your sender reputation:

  • Automatic stop on reply — the sequence pauses for any contact who responds.
  • Daily send limits — configurable to avoid spam filters.
  • Domain warm-up guidance — if you are sending from a new domain.
  • Unsubscribe link — automatically included in every sequence email.
