Setting Up Your Workspace

Configure branding, invite team members, and assign roles.

Workspace Configuration

Your Deskmantle workspace is the shared environment where your team collaborates. Configuring it properly ensures consistent branding, correct permissions, and a smooth experience for everyone.

Branding

  1. Go to Settings > Workspace > Branding.
  2. Upload your company logo (PNG or SVG, recommended 400x100 pixels). This logo appears in proposals, invoices, deal rooms, and emails sent through Deskmantle.
  3. Set your primary brand color — Deskmantle uses this as an accent across client-facing documents and your booking page.
  4. Enter your company address and phone number. These appear on invoices and legal documents.
  5. Click Save.

Inviting Team Members

  1. Go to Settings > Workspace > Team.
  2. Click Invite Members.
  3. Enter email addresses — separate multiple with commas.
  4. Select a role for each invite (see roles below).
  5. Click Send Invites. Each person receives an email with a link to join.

Roles and Permissions

Deskmantle provides four built-in roles. You can also create custom roles if you need finer-grained control.

  • Owner — full access to everything including billing, data exports, and danger-zone settings. Only one owner per workspace.
  • Admin — can manage team members, integrations, and workspace settings. Cannot change billing or transfer ownership.
  • Member — can access CRM, deals, inbox, tasks, and most daily-use features. Cannot manage team settings.
  • Viewer — read-only access. Useful for investors, advisors, or part-time consultants who need visibility without edit permissions.
Pro tip: You can restrict a member to specific pipeline stages by creating a custom role. This is useful when you want junior reps to only see early-stage leads.

Workspace Settings

A few additional settings worth configuring early:

  • Time zone — affects task due dates, daily briefs, and calendar integrations.
  • Currency — used across invoices, deals, and financial dashboards.
  • Fiscal year start — controls quarterly forecasting alignment.
  • Default pipeline — choose which pipeline new deals are added to by default.
