WhatsApp Messaging

Connect WhatsApp Business, set up auto-replies, and manage conversations.

WhatsApp Integration

Many businesses around the world use WhatsApp as their primary client communication channel. Deskmantle integrates with WhatsApp Business API so you can manage all WhatsApp conversations from within your CRM.

Connecting WhatsApp

  1. Navigate to Settings > Integrations > WhatsApp.
  2. Click Connect WhatsApp Business.
  3. You will be redirected to Meta's setup flow. Log in with your Facebook Business account and select or create a WhatsApp Business profile.
  4. Verify your business phone number. This number will be used to send and receive WhatsApp messages through Deskmantle.
  5. Once connected, a new WhatsApp tab appears in your inbox.

Sending Messages

  1. Open any client record and click the WhatsApp tab.
  2. Type your message. You can include text, images, documents, and links.
  3. Click Send.

Note: WhatsApp Business API requires that you use message templates for initiating conversations (not replies). Create templates in Settings > WhatsApp > Templates and submit them for Meta approval.

Auto-Replies

Configure automatic responses for common scenarios:

  • Welcome message — sent to first-time contacts. Example: "Hi! Thanks for reaching out to [Your Company]. How can we help you today?"
  • Away message — sent outside business hours. Example: "We're currently closed. We'll get back to you first thing tomorrow morning."
  • Quick replies — pre-written responses you can send with one click for frequently asked questions.

AI-Powered WhatsApp

Desk can handle WhatsApp conversations autonomously:

  • Answer common questions using your business information and FAQ.
  • Qualify leads by asking questions and logging answers in the CRM.
  • Schedule appointments by checking your calendar availability.
  • Escalate to a human team member when needed.
Pro tip: Use WhatsApp broadcast lists to send promotional messages to segmented client lists — but always comply with WhatsApp's commercial messaging policies.
