Daily Brief and Standup
The Daily Brief is your morning command center. Every day, Desk compiles a personalized summary of what happened yesterday, what needs attention today, and what is coming up. It surfaces the most important items so you never miss a beat.
What the Daily Brief Includes
- Yesterday's highlights — deals closed, emails sent, calls made, tasks completed.
- Today's schedule — calendar events and meetings with client context.
- Tasks due today — sorted by priority with links to each task.
- Overdue items — tasks and follow-ups that are past their due date.
- Pipeline alerts — deals that are stalling, at risk, or due to close soon.
- Client health alerts — clients whose engagement has dropped or who need attention.
- Revenue snapshot — month-to-date revenue vs. target.
- Team activity — what your team accomplished yesterday (for managers).
Accessing the Daily Brief
The Daily Brief appears as the first thing on your Dashboard each morning. You can also:
- Receive it by email at your preferred time (configure in Settings > Notifications > Daily Brief).
- Ask Desk anytime: "Give me my daily brief" or "What's on my plate today?"
- In voice mode, Desk reads the brief aloud.
Standup Mode
For teams, Deskmantle supports async standups:
- Go to Settings > Team > Standups and enable daily standups.
- Each team member receives a prompt at the configured time asking three questions:
- What did you accomplish yesterday?
- What are you working on today?
- Any blockers?
- Responses are compiled into a team standup summary visible to all members.
- Desk can auto-fill the "what I accomplished" section based on logged activity.
Pro tip: Customize your Daily Brief in Settings > Dashboard > Daily Brief to include or exclude specific sections based on your role.
